So, I'm just getting into AoS, after 8+ years of inactivity. I have a question on points in matched play, for my greenskins (waaaaaaaaaaagh!).
If I want a unit of 40 Savage Boyz containing 2 big stabbas models, how many points will it be? If I understand correctly, the 40 Savages will be 400 points, and the 2 Big Stabbas will be 100 points (matched play renown points list 2-8 models of Stabbas, 100 points), for a total of 500 points. It seems extreme, for what it is. Then, if I do go that route, will I have to drop 4 vanilla Savage Boyz (as Big Stabbaz replace 2 models each), so as not to violate the 40 model max? So, in the end, for the biggest unit of Savage Boyz I can take, within the rules, containing 2 Big Stabbas, it will be:
36 Savage Boyz
2 Big Stabbaz
= 500 points?
