    IMG_9295.jpg Hey Everyone!

Im just a new guy here but have been in the hobby since 2002! I use to only play 40K but for the last 5 years I have been really focusing a lot of my efforts into running tournaments in my area for both 40k and AoS so naturally it made me want to pick up an AoS army!

I have always been fascinated by the Chaos Dwarfs so i convinced myself that there is no better time then the present to take the plunge!

Here is an army photo from the last list tournament I went to in November of 2018. I went 2-1-0 with these guys and it was a hell of a lot of fun! I have been doing a lot of work on these guys since and also picked up a lot more models. Ill be posting my progress here as I go along. My first few posts will be the few items I have been completing since the tournament to get everyone up to speed.

    Thanks for looking!

Ok sooo the first thing(s) I did since this event is get working on bases, more of the endless spells (not a huge fan of them in game but love painting them up), and I even wanted to do a test squad in a new scheme I had seen online.

Alrighty so my goal is to do the whole '1 hour a night' and what helps me do that is I stream my hobby sessions / chat with people on Discord which I find always helps.

I was able to get the stormcast squad completed, some basing done on more dwarfs, and actually tested some water type looks on some bases for the Gobbos I will be putting together to 'count as' allies for the Chaos Dwarfs.

So the holidays struck and naturally time for getting any sorts of hobby time dwindles to nothing. I was able to layout terrain for tables and load it all into bins for future events.

The way I layout tables is pretty simple and works for me after I have cut up all my foam, bought bins, purchased spray paint and other materials needed to complete tables to a nice standard.

Step 1 - Pick a mat (this will help give me an idea of where pieces will go and what the theme of the mat will be)

Step 2 - Start placing terrain down in a taped area that represents the game mat

Step 3 - Walk around the mat and look at elevations, terrain balance, etc. Then adjust as needed.

Step 4 - Take a photo of the layout

Step 5 - Put all the terrain in a bin, print off images of the mat AND the layout and stick those to the bin so there is no confusion when setting up any event.

Step 6 - Put them into storage / keep a few on hand in the event I want to spend a night painting up a table.

....like I said... easy ... here are some photos of what I do!

Some of the terrain is 40K but thats because I make sure there is a way to flip some tables between 40k and AoS otherwise storing 40x 40K tables and a separate 20+ AoS tables would be insane lol!

For one hour a night that is pretty impressive. I do not even want to know what mine would look like.
