Total War: Pharaoh
Created in the biblical pyramids era, Total War: Pharaoh is all about brute force, violence, and one on one combat. Each army is driven by tough, sand-burned leaders who are riddled with scars from their endless battles. They have come to roam, ravage and lay bare every rival that dares to cross their path. Woe to the foe whose city is built along the way for it will surely burn or fight to stay alive.
Three desert armies are forged to fight a survival battle where no frontier can be far away enough to shelter the fleeing. Each army has its own leaders who guide its factions to war, raids, or crusades. They know that every war tactic counts, every soldier, every weapon – this is a battle for survival.
- The Egyptians
- The Canaanites
- The Hittites
The soldiers boldly follow their leaders. They are not mere humans. These leaders are part of destructive factions and see no glory in unity and harmony. Their pride is to watch the world burn. They strive to reduce all other kingdoms, especially Egypt, to their ruin.
In addition, they live a common life focussed on plundering the gold mines, defacing the Valley of Kings, leveling habitats, eliminating other factions, and then finding their next conquest. Every soldier is a fatalist, even if they doubt what they do is right. They walk on obediently, supporting the leader – human or demigod.
One such leader is Isu – the Ravager, who strongly believes that he himself was chosen by the gods to bring about the end of the Egyptian kingdom. To master success, everyone else must fail. His goals are unchanging as he is determined to profit from everyone else’s misfortune.
