Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Necromancer Rolls Out in October
Continuing the Warhammer coverage at Gamescom 2023, Vermintide 2 Necromancer will launch this October. Development studio, Fatshark, announced the game’s update in a preview trailer.
The Warhammer universe is an open battleground, colored with blood, decay, and death. Each update, release, and episode reflects the brute and brawl of warring factions. The mage of Vermintide, Sienna, was not spared the carnage. Instead, she is known for her wild and wonderful personality, her fiery powers – and her affinity with death.

However, in the upcoming release, she is transformed into a banshee from hell. Her powers are increased beyond belief and she seems to be able to free souls from the grasp of death. Bring back to life skeletons, the undead, and long-forgotten souls roaming the dark side.
Plus, her foes seem to be powerful spirits that are spectral copies of herself. The spirit is somewhat maniacal but is no match for our mage. This is where fire will challenge necrotic energy, life versus the pawns of hell – the dead versus Sienna.
Furthermore, the trailer takes us into an amazing house – more like a spiritual realm. It is set in a blue mist filled with angry skeletons that attack without mercy. Sienna delves in and battles her way free. Suddenly a huge spectre, a double of her, appears and threatens her very existence. They fight, pitting power against power, and the energy ignites.
The battle is short-lived as an explosion shatters the scenery leaving a pitch-black silence. Our mage emerges dragging a skeletal entourage behind her. Even though she dons her spiritual gear, she is drenched in the grim neon spectral mist. This is without the red blood we are accustomed to seeing. Yet, it is spiritual blood, anyway.
The trailer carries a description that confirms that the Vermintide 2 Necromancer will launch on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
