Warhammer 40K: Darktide to Get Huge Upgrade in October
Warhammer 40K: Darktide will be completely revamped this October when the announced Patch 13 lands.
You’ll be able to customize your playstyle by traveling down a RPG-style talent tree for each class, acquiring abilities as you go. And now that the dev team has been hard at work on this iteration, a lot is turning out to be very exciting.
This teaser gives us no real idea about what these abilities could look like, but we do have a sample talent tree pictured above to give you an idea of where the various trees might lead.
You will find that the various abilities branch into one another, each suggesting a different theme. As you might expect, the abilities are grouped into different themes.
You will notice some familiar icons along the way in this patch, which replaces the current leveling system. More information is expected later in the month, so stay tuned for a deeper dive into these talent trees
Warhammer 40K: Darktide‘s Patch 13 promises an overhaul of each class. From Phizers to Zealots, everything will be changed.
In Darktide, you will repeat the same missions over and over again. However, they are remixed through procedural generation, random spawns, mutators, and your own arsenal.
The campaign, if you can call it that, unfolds through a series of repetitive missions. Sometimes it takes place in the same location as a previous mission. After reaching certain level thresholds and replaying missions the user gains experience and equipment.
There were only four classes at launch and a few ability upgrades. This way, the squad-based dungeon crawler ran out of steam fast. The October update should add more passive and active abilities. It may even add options to combine them
Darktide is a first-person action video game developed and published by Fatshark. It is based on the Warhammer: Vermintide series. It was released for Microsoft Windows on 30 November 2022.
