It is common knowledge that Space Marine Terminators are masters of close combat, able to deliver extremely destructive volleys of fire and withstand almost any retaliation of the enemy. The enemies of humanity fear the Terminators; they are the most valiant and dangerous protectors of mankind.
Designed for the most elite of the Space Marine forces, the Warhammer 40k factions that fight for the Imperium of Man, Terminator armor is the ultimate in personal protection. Thick-armored, heavily armed, and protected by an impenetrable force field, it is reserved for the ultimate of the elite.
As part of a Space Marines Chapters’ mission that can be as deadly as any conventional power armor, Erminator armor, or Tactical Dreadnought Armor, is deployed for missions that are so lethal that even conventional armor cannot protect the wearer.
The use of Terminator armor is warranted for engagements within the dense confines of hive cities, boarding operations against enemy ships, and purge operations aboard drifting space hulks.
This armor is made from thick ceramite and plasteel plates, and is powered by servo muscles and synthetic fibre-muscle bundles in order to withstand enormous amounts of punishment.
A Terminator suit is equipped with a number of advanced technologies, such as cogitators for tracking targets and auspexes for piercing fog.
There are many Terminator suits equipped with teleporters that enable them to conduct devastating deep strike maneuvers. Often, the flare of a Terminator teleport strike heralds the sudden destruction of enemy leadership, or even the saving of lives of imperial defenders in a time of crisis.
During the Great Crusade, the tech-adepts of the Mechanicum, the precursor to the Adeptus Mechanicus, developed the Terminator armor, which combines marine power armor with elements of rugged industrial suits designed for hazardous conditions.
