Have You Met Lord Asdrubael Vect?
It is possible that you have not yet met Lord Asdrubael Vect. One reason may be that he is not active in the Warhammer tabletop games. However, if you are familiar with the Warhammer Universe, you should already have.
Asdrubael Vect is an Eldar strategist who leads the Kabal of the Black Heart, one of the most powerful Kabals in existence, thus he is the de-facto ruler of Commorragh and the rest of the Dark Eldar race.
In order to ensure his safety, Vect uses the Geldling, a mysterious doppelganger, from time to time, as his substitute. He claims to have been present at the Fall of the Eldar; he is one of the oldest living mortals around 10,000 years old
The story of Vect begins when he was a slave in Commorragh. Invented after the death of his master, Vect ascended the ladder of Commorragh, conquered the nobility, and united the sub-realms of the Dark City under his authority.
Then Vect captured the Salamander’s Space Marine Strike Cruiser Forgehammer, provoking an Imperial invasion of Commorragh. The Lords of Commorragh were killed in the ensuing battle by the vengeful Space Marines, and Vect became the undisputed ruler of the Dark City.
Vect faced a threat in M41 when El’Uriaq was resurrected by rival Kabals. Later, Vect retreated to the outskirts of Commorragh, and Yvraine was born, causing a Dysjunction that threatened the Dark City. Vect maintained an alliance with his Kabals.
In the aftermath of the birth of the Prophet of Ynnead, Yvraine, during the Thirteenth Black Crusade, Commorragh was devastated and flooded by the Daemons.
After all seemed lost, Vect appeared, calling in old debts and rallying the Incubi sect to launch a massive counterattack that saved the heart of Commorragh. However, shortly thereafter, Vect was killed by unidentified Mandrakes.
