Warhammer 40K: Darktide Releases Patch 13
Today is a big day for Fatshark as the studio debuts on Xbox and revamps PC gaming. The studio released Warhammer 40K: Darktide and rolled out a ‘Class Overhaul’ with Patch 13.
The new patch #13 of Darktide removes the current system entirely and replaces it with a Talent Tree for each class. Players will earn a Talent Point for each level and can earn up to 30 points total.
With the Talent Tree system, every character can have their Baseline Ability, Blitz, and Aura replaced or upgraded. This allows for entirely new builds to be created.
It has been clarified by Fatshark that old builds created by the former Feats system can still be created. Former Feats have been spread out across different Talent Trees, so players will simply need to unlock them over time.
Aside from the introduction of Talent Trees, Patch #13 rebalances characters and enemies across the board and adjusts weapons based on recent community feedback.
This massive update addresses hundreds of bugs and improves the quality of life with enhanced controller options. Fatshark put two forum posts together to cover everything.
Darktide was released earlier today on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass. In some cool way, this is all part of bringing the best possible gameplay to PC and Xbox players at the same time.
Fatshark is also following through with its January promise of comprehensive improvements to Darktide after what some considered an unsatisfactory launch.
Fatshark Studio was founded in 2001 by four Swedes. The group provided development services before concentrating on developing their own game. By 2010, the company released its first game, Lead and Gold, with support from Paradox Interactive.
The founders of Fatshark are Martin Wahlund, Rikard Blomberg, Joakim Wahlström, and Johan Jonker. In January 2019, Tencent bought 36% of the company valued at 56 million. However, two years later, in 2021, Tencent bought the majority shares of Fatshark at valued at 260 million.
