Games Workshop to Expand With New Factory
According to Games Workshop’s 2023-24 report published on Monday, it is “exploring options” for opening another Warhammer factory at its Nottingham, UK location. The possibility of establishing Factory 4 is included in the firm’s plan to meet rising customer demands.

Fans who were unable to pick up products on launch day will be eager for Games Workshop’s production capacities to increase soon. However, Games Workshop has a long institutional memory. Rick Priestley, the father of Warhammer 40k, said in an interview with the now-defunct blog Unplugged Games that the company nearly went bankrupt by overproducing products.
The half-year report notes that “improving efficiencies” has led to “numerous manufacturing output records being broken” at Games Workshop’s three factories in Nottingham. These factories employ 361 people, and their payroll for the six months from June 2023 totals $7.5 million (£6 million), apart from temporary staff costs.
