New Warhammer Skins Unvieled in Call of Duty
An in-game photo of the Warhammer 40,000 skins has been revealed after it was announced that Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone would receive a surprise crossover. According to Activision’s Modern Warfare 3 dataminer TheOfficeCOD, the game will feature two Space Marine operator skins, one from the Ultramarines chapter, the other from the Blood Angels.
They are reserved for use on Juggernaut killstreaks, dressed in hulking armored suits and armed with miniguns. While space marines look silly with Call of Duty weapons, these Power Armour-clad transhuman warriors dwarf humans in size and power.
This sounds a lot more up Space Marine’s alley. Perhaps the Juggernaut will have its minigun replaced with a Bolter, which proves to be the most iconic weapon of the Space Marines.
Apparently, the Warhammer 40,000 skins are labeled Juggernaut, suggesting they are reserved for a limited-time event. However, the file contains Space Marine finishers, which suggests an Operator addition.
Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone features a new mode called Juggermosh. In this mode, players take control of a Juggernaut, who may attack any enemy they see.
A crossover with Warhammer 40,000 would give the Power Armour its due glory, which it should be in early March when Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded begins
Earlier last month, Call of Duty Dataminers have found a potential collaboration where players take the role of Dark Angels Space Marines or Adepta Sororitas. These armored warriors hunt down xenophobics and Chaos cultists wherever they go. As of right now in the 40K canon, the Dark Angels are taking a bit of a narrative spotlight, with their Primarch Lion El’Jonson returning from a 10,000-year slumber to lead his sons into battle.
There has been a crossover between the Call of Duty fandom and Warhammer 40,000 before; players can assume the roles of super-powered characters from the series. Should the crossover succeed, Warhammer 40,000 also has iconic weapons, like the heavy bolter.
