Sons of Horus Gets Another Space Marine Model
Game Workshop has unveiled a Forge World resin miniature featuring Captain Tybalt Marr of the 18th Company of Space Marines. The Sons of Horus are adding another unique character model to their devious diorama.
In the new Sons of Horus model sculpt by Games Workshop, Marr holds a Xenos-looking serrated sword in his right hand and his Warhammer 40k primarch – his face locked in stern grimaces.
There is also a preview of Sharr’s special rules in WarCom; The Culling Blade contains Fleshbane and Murderous Strike 6+, making it a remarkable marine killer. It is always deadly on a 2+, and it can instantly be killed on a 6–a very potent weapon.
The Hunter’s Moon special ability allows him to enclose tasty-looking targets in a shock assault. Once per game, he can pin all enemy units within 12 inches, allowing him to charge them to death. Your army gets an extra Reaction in the assault phase (provided Marr stays alive). Games Workshop has released a new plastic Horus Heresy Solar Auxilia army range, including new Medusa models and Basilisk models.
Marr is the first of four new Forge World resin figures in the Horus Heresy setting. He comes with two Legion Apothecaries and the Dark Emissary Legion Consul who won’t allow us to be proud of who we are.
His role in Dan Abnett’s Horus Rising and Graham McNeill’s False Gods is that of a Space Marine officer under Warmaster Horus Lupercal. At that time, the Horus Heresy civil war has erupted, with the Sons of Horus waging war against the Emperor of Mankind. Marr plays a much bigger role, directing the hunt to assassinate loyalist Space Marines.
We see this bitter, murderous version of Marr in the new mini-series – one who has traveled a long way from simple grief for his beloved, fallen battle brother.
