7 Tanks – Horus Heresy Gets Reinforcement for Battle Tanks
Horus Heresy players who want to start their own non-Space Marine army now have plenty of options. The Solar Auxilia tanks have a ton of Imperial Army kits. Here are the new Solar Veletaris Storm Section, Leman Russ Assault Tank, and Malcador Heavy Tank.
The Solar Auxilia marched alongside the Astartes Legions to “pacify” the galaxy. The tubing, the tanks, and the armor plates with little rivets, and they look like they’re ready for combat in any environment.
Horus Heresy Gets Reinforcement – Main Battle Tanks
In the 41st Millennium, the iconic tank of the 41st Millennium is back. Known as the Leman Russ Assault Tank, it comes with some special features. It can be equipped with a demolisher cannon, an advanced Executioner plasma cannon, or the Volkite macro-saker.
- Both options come with plenty of arms so you can mix and match them to build the squad you want.
- Veletaris Storm Section consists of elite void armour-wearing Veletarii. They either have volkite chargers or two-handed storm axes.
- It’s a big miniature, too. It’s not as wide as say a Baneblade. But it’s long. The Malcador is like a stretched limo (or stretched Leman Russ).
In many ways, the 40k Leman Russ looks the same as the 40k version, but in a different way. This version looks more like a display model of the Leman Russ tank, whereas the 40k version feels more like the real product.
What’s really cool is that you can see the differences in the production over the last ten thousand years. During the 40K period, they had to remove some features. However, the Horus Heresy still has all the benefits that came with it in the beginning.
The malcador battle tank has been around for a while, but this is the first time we’ve seen the full-sized version in plastic! This is a great addition to the range and a great “pocket super-heavy” to have as well.
