Total War Warhammer 3 Huge Patch Update
A corn dog is today’s new legendary hero for the strategy game Total War Warhammer 3. However, the price is extremely reasonable – he’s completely free as part of today’s patch 5.1.0, which also introduces substantial changes to multiplayer.
This patch’s highlights revolve largely around multiplayer. First up is a new competitive multiplayer mode called Conquest Mode, which joins the game’s multiplayer roster tomorrow.
Essentially, they are land battles with a single capture point in the middle. “By adding a capture point that serves as an alternate win condition, we encourage players to fight in the center,” reads the blog post.
Additionally, new community and developer maps are being added to Domination mode, as well as some other tweaks and changes. Lords, for instance, can no longer be summoned and unsummoned.

Other changes include:
- The Daemons of Chaos now being playable in quick battles,
- Free-for-all battles now being playable against the AI, and the usual round of nerfs, buffs,
- UI updates and general rebalances.
- There is a change to Collision attacks so they apply full weapon strength damage, making chariots more useful.
Furthermore, there have been some changes to the Thunderbarge as well, praise the Lord/that’s a grudging concession, depending on your perspective. Stay tuned tomorrow for more information on the new Total War DLC, which will feature more Ogres, Orcs, and Khorne items.
