Games Workshop Merged a Warhammer 40k Genestealer With a Tech-Priest
We’re not sure whether we should call this new model a heresy or not for Warhammer 40k’s narrative game Necromunda.
Heresy? We’re pretty sure this is heresy. Games Workshop’s reveal for Necromunda is a copy of an Adeptus Mechanicus tech-priest with fleshy mechadendrites and a cute gene-stealer companion.
The Warhammer 40k fusion of two factions was revealed via GW’s Warhammer Community on Monday, combining the humanity of the Genestealer Cults with the iconic, hooded red robes and mechanical limbs of the Adeptus Mechanicus of Mars.
Known as Hermiatus, the Second Son, this new character model features a key character in the upcoming Necromunda: Hive Secundus box set. The Tech-Priest Biologis Hermiatu combined with a superweapon strike created entirely new, even scarier genestealers
A WarCom reveal article on Monday explained that this model isn’t the original Hermiatus, but rather an “accursed being” derived from a genetic memory of Hermiatus at the command of the Malstrain Patriarch.
The WarCom team confirms that this is another resin model from Forge World, much like last week’s new Haera Helwawr character miniature. As with that kit, we made an educated guess that it will cost around $38 (£24) based on similar features and size.
