Owlcat Delays Void Shadows DLC Release
According to a recent announcement by Owlcat Games, the upcoming Void Shadows DLC for Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader will be delayed from August 8 to September 24. The development team wants to polish the DLC for several weeks more to ensure that it has the smoothest gameplay possible.
“We’ve been putting everything we have into the development of [the DLC], but we now see that while the new additions to the game are awesome, the technical quality is not quite there yet,” says developer Owlcat in an announcement post.
“That’s why we’ve decided to spend some additional time on polishing and eradicating anything that might spoil your experience as you investigate the darkest corners of your voidship or romance a new companion.”
As part of the Void Shadows DLC, the player will receive Kibellah, a Death Cult Assassin companion. In addition, additional crew members and a new hangar will be available for the player’s voidship.
Owlcat Delays Void Shadows DLC Release
Recently, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader was given a huge 1.2 patch,. The update included many balance changes, cutscene improvements, new visuals and sounds, and much more. The release was great, they may be aiming for the same for this DLC.
There is no doubt that Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader has some good reasons for delaying its first DLC. While the Void Shadows DLC will be delayed, there is only a short period of time.
As a heavy RPG, Rogue Trader is set to gain even more depth with its upcoming DLC expansion. Sending you into the depths of your own voidship with a brand new companion, Kibellah, the expansion promises 15 hours of new content.
In addition, let’s consider that Warhammer 40k’s setting revolves around technology that humans cannot fully comprehend. This makes it easy to imagine the horrors lurking on the vast, unexplored decks of your own ship.
