The Old World – What’s Your Favorite Old World War Machine?

Warhammer 40K: The Old World has been in our war terrain long enough to decide, know, and use a favorite faction. Whether it be Hellcannon, Hellblaster, or Border Princes Bombard, there sure are a lot of peace-killing, warmongers to choose from. Thus choice is not an issue. And just in case, you find them all too overwhelming, no prob, you can always vote again.

As you know, there are nine armies to choose from, so it’s not as easy as you may think. However, it is a lot of fun to get into, so here are my two favorites.

The Hellcannon is a Warrior of Chaos spitfire that creates quite a bang when you need it, If you want your enemies to panic, duck for cover, and stay away from you, this is your machine. Plus, it is hard to eliminate, usually getting through quite a few foes before settling out.

However, this power packer can sure go hard on the wallet. yet, the worst part is the number of misfires it has. Two, as a matter of fact. It then explodes damaging everyone around it.

Favorite Warhammer 40k Old World Warmachines

There are a lot of warmachines in the Empire. Out of the pile of big guns, the Hellblaster stands out in the Old World. It makes random shots, needs to roll to hit, and can easily get a lot of extra minuses for it to hit. It’s not the most reliable weapon.

As one poster puts it ” it can get a LOT of shots. Some decent rolling can see you putting out 20+ shots with relative ease. Even needing to roll to hit, you can get a decent number of hits with this, and throwing some buffs, such as using an Engineer for better BS can help jump you up a notch.

“It also has pretty decent hits. The Hellblaster isn’t going to be the best for taking down big models, but it can really put the hurt on a unit.”
