Lieutenant Titus is stepping out of hit game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 to take on his toughest mission yet – defending the doors of Warhammer World. A giant statue of the Ultramarines hero has been unveiled today in the entrance hall at our HQ in Nottingham, UK
Previously deployed on London’s South Bank, where he appeared temporarily to promote this month’s game launch, a statue of a similar size stood sentinel over Berlin’s Uber Platz.
New Ultra Marine Lieutenant Titus Statue Deck Warhammer Hall
The 1:1 scale statue now resides permanently in the atrium of the Warhammer Hobby’s spiritual home. It replaces the much-loved Nigel Nurgleson plushie that has graced the atrium for years.
The community took a triumphant tour and many more are expecting to follow suit.
Builders arrived at 6am this morning to begin installing the statue before doors opened at 10am, and Warhammer Community’s photographer was on hand to snap the first pictures.**
The eagle-eyed among you will recognise the heroic pose that Titus is striking from Weta Workshop’s 1:6 scale statue – just much, much bigger.
Even as the Lieutenant Titus statue takes its place, the pens are churning up great stories and tomorrow will create headlines and visits. The photographs, the stamps and maybe even cartoons will emerge from this image. Warhammer 40k has done well.
