Necromunda – New Rescue Mission Announced on Warhammer
With its treasure trove of rare technology and gear, and its fertile hunting grounds for those keen to test their skills against the Malstrain Genestealers, Hive Secundus has become an attractive destination for Necromunda’s greedy gangs and guilds.
Warhammer Hives are getting ready to storm Necromunda and the army defense ic falling out for help to new recruits and experts. It’s not easy to get to its buried remnants. However, Abyssal Ferryman, crews of grizzled survivors and outlaws who make a living in the hostile wastes, make it easier to go past the dangerous Exclusion Zone and into the depths of Secundus.
Necromunda – New Rescue Mission Announced on Warhammer
Two such Ferrymen are Lugrun and Madryc Helbane. The Ferrymen of Port Grave hold Helbane, an orphan of the Hell’s Warden massacre, in high regard for his ability and perseverance. Along with him comes Ogryn Lugrun, a former slave who was long abandoned by his owners and quickly became close to the outlaw Helbane.
With a wide range of specialized tools and instruments and years of experience navigating the perilous expedition, the two assist guests on their trek into the Abyss. With Lugrun’s might by his side, Madryc is more than willing to get his hands dirty in the battle against the Malstrain, unlike many of their relatives.
These Dramatis Personae can be hired for a cost as usual, or taken as part of a Ferryman team for free in an Underhells campaign – replacing the Ferryman Skipper and Ferryman Rig-hand.
Each of the various Enclaves from which Ferryman teams descend has a unique set of skills that they employ to support the gangs they accompany. In addition to being Cunning Killers who can reroll failed Wound dice against roaming horrors, Hunter Enclaves are adept at dealing with the Malstrain.
In each cycle of an Underhells Campaign, survivors provide fallen colleagues with a free Medical Escort, demonstrating their ability to heal wounds and withstand the harsh circumstances of Hive Secundus.
