Blood Angels Gets New Codex and Box Set With Video Trailer
Games Workshop has set the wheels of death in motion this week. A new codex and box set have been released for the Blood Angels. So, it’s time to unleash the Death Company under the guidance of Lemartes and Astorath.
Here’s the next announcement. It’s the Sons of Sanguinius with a new Blood Angels Codex. A new army set is coming. Chaplain Lemartes and Astorath, High Chaplain of the Blood Angels, will lead the Death Company on the battlefield!
According to the Warhammer Community post, this is a new army within the Space Marines.
“Few Space Marine Chapters are held in such high regard as the Blood Angels. The Sons of Sanguinius have such an unorthodox Chapter cult and order of battle – involving distinctive formations, unusual tactics, and mighty heroes – that they require their own Codex to accompany their unique miniatures.”

As players can expect, the new box set includes Lemartes, Astorath, 20 Death Company Intercessors, and a Brutalis Dreadnought. Ten of the Intercessors will be able to use Jump Packs. It also contains four sets of the new Blood Angel Upgrades and Transfers.
There is a new model coming for Chaplain Lemartes. He is looking more aggressive and has a new mask. I am not entirely certain what the mask is supposed to look like. It looks like something else, but can’t really determine what it is.
Although, the rest of the model is cool – he’s got an aggressive look and a cool scenic base. It may be just from the angle of the photo whether he has been Primaris’d or not, but one will look forward to seeing him in person.
In addition, the new model for Astorath is also included in the boxed set. Impressively, he retains his old pose, wielding the Executioner’s Axe once again as if about to bring it down on someone. P;us, the armor design of Astorath is probably inspired by the movie Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
