Coming to Age of Sigmar – Warhammer’s Knight-Azyros Model
Warhammer’s Knight-Azyros model is a reimagining of a classic Stormcast Eternals figure, with a gothic, heavy metal, Elden Ring-Boss style. Games Workshop revealed the model on Wednesday, which will be available after Age of Sigmar 4th comes out.
Since the first edition of Age of Sigmar, Stormcast Eternals have had Knights-Azyros in their army. The Warhammer Community describes them as “winged warriors carrying the radiant starlight of Azyr in their sacred lanterns”.
Currently, in Age of Sigmar, it generates a light that targets a nearby enemy unit to make it easier for your forces to clobber it. The new kit depicts Tornus the Redeemed, a legendary Knight-Azyros who is featured in the first edition of Age of Sigmar. This may be both useful in an attack as well as in a defensive posture.

In the Warhammer Community article, Games Workshop uses a photo that appears to be that of the base Knight-Azyros, captured by Nurgle and corrupted as Torglug the Despised! He was killed by Celestant-Prime with Sigmar’s own hammer, Ghal Maraz, and transformed into Tornus the Despised.
The Hallowed Knights are the poster Stormcast for this edition, so this may be Games Workshop giving a name to a model with no rules. Then again, the Hallowed Knights are the poster-Stormcast for this edition, so it may be true.
There is something truly extraordinary about the glow-up the Knight-Azyros model received, compared to the already impressive first edition kit. Games Workshop has amplified the gothic grandeur and sinister energy radiating from the Stormcast models, making them seem more grimdark than ever.
