Creative Assembly Release Total War 3 Expansion Video
Total War Warhammer 3’s studio released a video describing the upcoming DLC. The upcoming expansion will focus on the Immortal Empires campaign and reveal the lords and units of the Ogres, Greenskins, and Khorne factions. Creative Assembly has kept its promise and has provided the tease it promised following an update yesterday.
According to Rich Aldridge, the game’s pricing scheme will follow that of Thrones of Decay. “The biggest news is you’ve shown us where the importance of the game lies, and that’s Immortal Empires,” he said.
The next DLC will be focused on Immortal Empires specifically, but they won’t abandon the Realms of Chaos campaign. This means bringing some more narrative campaigns into the broader sandbox. Hope Creative Assembly is listening.

In addition, the upcoming Total War Warhammer III DLC is going to have a lot of ogres. Aldridge confirmed that the new Legendary Lord will be the long-suspected Golfag Maneater.
Another important tidbit is the new monsters. The video reveals a few new units, including the Thundertusk and Blood Vultures, both having a large amount of battlefield utility. They also fit the stereotypical ‘annoying flying unit’ archetype.
The next place is Khorne. The legendary lord is U’Zhul the Skulltaker, correctly described as an angry red man who collects skulls. Nope, still too vague. He collects interesting skulls like a stamp collector. Khorne’s new units include the Slaughterbrute (Big, Red, Angry, like a daemonoid Kool-Aid man), and perhaps his father will get the same one.
With regards to free bits, Aldrige reaffirms a return to the Free LL format, last seen with Nurgle’s Epidemius. This time, it’s another Khorne lord, though they won’t reveal who it is.
Aside from Slaanesh, Alridge plans to flesh out the Chaos gods. He also recommends updating Vampire Counts, Norsca, and the glorious Lizardmen’s not-so-glowing Geomantic Web sooner rather than later.
