Games Workshop Store Robbed Over and Over Again By 2
Joshua Jackson, 22, collaborated with a partner on eight occasions during the late summer of last year to steal items including figurines. The duo robbed the Games Workshop Warhammer store located in the city center at Earls Lane, near Lowther Street. In a report shared in the Slumberland News and Times, states that both bandits were caught
Warhammer is a tabletop war game set in a medieval universe that features miniature figures.
Prosecutor Peter Bardsley informed the magistrates’ court at Rickergate, Carlisle, that the details of the case were “fairly straightforward.” The stolen goods were valued at several thousand pounds. “They were caught on CCTV and subsequently identified,” Mr. Bardsley added.
“The defendant (Jackson) and (the second man) go into the Warhammer shop in Carlisle on eight occasions between the end of July and September, and take items between the two of them.”
The duo targeted the shop four times within just one week in late August, with over £1,000 worth of items reported stolen in a single incident in early September from Games Workshop.

During questioning, Jackson confessed to the thefts but claimed he believed he had only taken items valued at around £500.
This assertion was reiterated by defense lawyer Duncan Campbell during Jackson’s sentencing session, where he had earlier admitted to eight theft charges.
Mr. Campbell noted that a comprehensive and useful report had been created by a probation officer to aid magistrates in their sentencing decisions.
Jackson, residing on Brunton Avenue in Carlisle, struggled with mental health challenges.
“He was very much led on in becoming involved in this offending,” said the solicitor. “That is not to say that excuses it in any way. It is an explanation. He is not prone to conduct himself in this way nor this fashion at all.”
The estimated financial value for the stolen goods was merely a “guesstimate,” Mr. Campbell suggested.
The magistrates handed down an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. Jackson is also required to complete up to 15 days of rehabilitation activity with the probation service, along with a payment of £1,286.25.
*His accomplice, 24-year-old biomedical sciences student Jamie Lane, residing on Greystone Road in Carlisle, also received a suspended prison sentence and a compensation order after facing punishment earlier this year.
