How to Choose an Origin to Power Up Your Character
You are the Rogue Trader. To power up your character with advantages or bonus abilities you need to choose Origins. These are like gems empowered with special capabilities that will arm you with the following:
- Two Characteristics
- Two Skills
- A combat ability
Each player is allowed to choose one of seven Origins available in the game. Notably, these abilities were created during the lifetime of certain characters in their life before they joined the Von Valancius Dynasty. It is like a summary of their experience and talents.
When choosing your origin it is essential to identify how it will affect your Stat Boost and your Skill Boost. Each Origin is listed with these characteristics detailing how much and what they will impart to you. For example, the Astra Militarum Commander offers Regimental Tactics, which can be used once per battle. Here is the power bar.
By activating Regimental Tactics, your allies will augment their attack capabilities and deal twenty percent more damage to enemies adjacent to friendly characters. In addition, they will be protected by a shield preventing friendly fire from targeting them.
