Kill Team Starter Set – Space Marines vs Plague Marines
Kill Team: Hivestorm launched last weekend in stores, homes, and gaming clubs. It includes everything you need to play balanced, competitive operations – a great choice for veterans.
For those just getting started with Kill Team, a Starter Set is available to teach you the Conceal Orders from your Tac Ops. This package contains 14 miniatures divided between the Space Marines of the Angels of Death and the Plague Marines.
Both sets have been hard to come by in recent years – having been released as two separate generations of the Warhammer Heroes blind box series – but they return to the range with an uncomfortably wet bang. And even though they’re both designed to be easy for newcomers to play, they’re strong teams who are perfectly capable of tussling with any of the other factions in the game.

The Warhammer community blog post gave specific details of each box set. “The new 64-page introductory rulebook is designed from the ground up to guide new players through their first few missions, starting simple and adding new concepts as it goes along until a final climactic confrontation puts all of the commanders’ new knowledge to the test.
“New builders can follow clear construction guides laced with examples and lore snippets to help them along, followed by in-depth lore sections on each of the kill teams so you can figure out who your favorites are before plunging into combat.”
As a final touch, the booklet includes advanced rules and extra mission conditions for the whole Kill Team experience. For both kill teams, there are rules reference sheets and tokens included. You can also download the complete rules for regular Kill Team games from the Warhammer Community website.
Besides the great terrain, this set has easy-assembly printed MDF terrain that snaps together in seconds. So you can start playing right away without having to build and paint a lot of plastic walls and structures.
