Space Marine 2 Hotfix Notes
On September 11, 2024, the new Hotfix 2.1 became available for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. This patch addresses a few technical issues in the shooter. A summary of the patch notes is listed below.
A few crash problems were reported across platforms at the start of the game, during the first cutscene, and at other points. A soft lock in the story was also fixed, so hopefully that should no longer happen. More details are below or you can visit the studio’s website.
A small, but important fix for the PC version is supposed to optimize CPU behavior on high-end CPUs. Apart from these minor, but important changes in September 2024, the developers have announced a major update to the game.

A new area on the Battle Barge will be available for sparring: the Sparring Arena. The patch supports ultrawide monitors, allows for creating private PvE lobbies, and adds support for ultrawide monitors.
Space Marine 2 has been highly praised for its excellent quality since it launch earlier this month. One evaluation published on Rock Paper Shotgun found the graphics ideal,
But nah, turns out it’s fine. Pretty good, actually – perhaps not to the extent that you should tackle Space Marine 2 on a crusty notebook (or, for the record, a Steam Deck), but it runs decently on minimum specs and is noticeably more stable than in that preview. The only thing that might offend your PC’s machine spirit is some quality setting weirdness, where dropping or raising the graphics options can produce inconsistent results.
