Total War: Immortal Empires Update 5.2 Trailer
With Total War Warhammer 3: Immortal Empires‘ upcoming 5.2 update, players can experience the first “extra bits” the team teased in June. It sits between the usual patch fare of stat tweaks and errata, as well as the heavier faction facelifts from the paid DLC.
The full breakdown of the three main features can be found on the Total War website. However, in general, there are updates for Chaos and the Dwarves, as well as “unusual locations” – a set of landmarks that will be revealed throughout the game.
A good example of this is the Bretonnian holy site, “Grail Knight’s Grave”. Owning the settlement initially gives a bonus to control and corruption, and you can hire holy horse-fanciers for your garrison. When control reaches 75, any character in the region can acquire a mystery trait.

Chaos cults are next on the reworked list; they’ve long been criticized for being too lifeless and flat to represent the den of corrupt activity they are. “Ultimately, the fantasy is that the cults create corruption, not the other way around.”
Rather than springing up in corrupted places, they’re now created by cultists of all four monogods in Immortal Empires. The cult magus is a new campaign character that allows you to create unique cults that offer more options. It also appears that the cults themselves will be a version of the Skaven undercity archetype. They will now possess various resource-sucking buildings and devastating rituals. In addition, Khorne’s leader teleportation is now available to the four gods.
Lastly, there’s a Dwarf feature called “The Deeps” for those who want to play tall. With a few dollars, you can expand your settlements into the ground, allowing you to play with more slots and unique buildings. Plus, you’ll discover some interesting things as you dig, including blocked tunnels and “some stranger things you might find in the Deeps.” Here comes one from the new ‘guild foundry’ building: “+5% settlement income”.
