Total War Warhammer 3 Bug Creates “Flash” Ogre
A Total War Warhammer 3 bug has transformed the ogre lord Greasus Goldtooth into the new Warhammer ‘Flash’. The virus has altered the speed of the ogre lord up to ten times faster than normal. This has created a sonic ogre that is too fast to be stopped.
The fat ogre Greasus Goldtooth has become turbocharged after a bug introduced in a recent patch increased his speed by 400. You’ll be amazed to see him tearing across the battlefield like a missile. Even better, instead of a traditional mount, he’s being pushed around on a cart by gnoblars, whose legs are now clattering like fireballs.
Imagine how shocked players were, so much so that some of them have made videos of it. The average cavalry unit in Total War Warhammer 3 has a speed stat of about 85. Even the units of the most powerful faction, the chaos god Slaanesh, have speeds of about 100.
Due to the fact that his other stats are pretty great, and he is a pseudo-chariot unit, we can imagine that this would make him much more effective in combat.
According to the development studio, the bug was introduced in patch 4.1.0, released on November 21. It was intended to shake up settlement and siege battles, buff projectiles, and let you reset the skill point totals for your characters.
In addition, the patch notes do not mention force-feeding monster energy drinks to Greasus’ gnoblars. It is fairly obvious that this was not a planned change. Leading to the conclusion that someone was trying to increase Goldtooth’s speed from 35 to 40. Unfortunately, this bandit accidentally added an extra zero.
Moreover, the speed at which units can move in Total War Warhammer 3 seems to be limited. Greasus isn’t moving at four times the rate of the next nippiest model, but he is bloody fast.
In the meantime, you can still use Greasus to flank units and chase down annoying missile cavalry. Or, well, at least until the bug is fixed.
