The Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters game, released last month, is set for a 20th February release on PS5 and PS4. Players can purge pestilent Nurgle cultists with flame, bolter, and fury while engaging in tense tactical battles
It consists of a strategic overarching campaign map with turn-based deployments where every decision has lasting consequences. Daemonhunters is a brilliant, modern twist on XCOM. The gritty 40K setting makes it a perfect recommendation for Warhammer fans in particular. Released in 2022 on PC, it has mostly positive reviews on Steam and should be on the radar of PlayStation gamers.
Essentially, this game replaces soldiers with Space Marines (specifically, Grey Knights) and relatively cute aliens with the cult members of Nurgle. Close-quarters combat is emphasized, which makes it both thrilling and appropriate for the setting of the game.
