Warhammer 40k Saga Comes to an End
Titled The End and the Death, the final entry in the epic Horus Heresy book series will bring an end to the Warhammer saga that was started over 17 years ago. During a question and answer in an interview with the Warhammer Community on Wednesday, author Dan Abnett disclosed essential information about the book.
About 17 years ago, the renowned Warhammer 40K author, embarked on a story that would reshape the lives of hundreds of thousands of gamers and millions of readers. Abnett shared the good news that the book’s first two volumes were ready but that the story would continue in a third volume which would count as the end of the series.
Furthermore, the author related that Volume 2 “will be available soon in hardback”, with “The centerpiece of part two is Sanguinius vs Horus”. In addition, Abnett shared that part three will focus on Warmaster Horus against the Emperor of Mankind.
“There was a very deliberate attempt on my part to make sure those things didn’t just become just more of the same”, Abnett says.
Even though we already know the fate of Sanguinius which was written into the Blood Angels’ initial Warhammer 40k Codex – going way back in the 90s. Some people were not yet into Warhammer and may find volume 3 a complete surprise. Others who read the Codex will still enjoy the new twists and plots of The Eand and the Death.
Another well-known reason we might be eager to read the last volume is the duel between Horus and the Emperor. The conflict was worked into the lore early in the first edition of Warhammer 40k. Even if we remember the stories, it will still be a great read.
All hands are awaiting the arrival of the second volume which comes out soon and will be available in hardback,
