Warhammer Age of Sigmar Gets New Books
On February 3, 2024, Games Workshop will release Death Battletome: Flesh-Eater Courts and Dawnbringers, Book IV: The Mad King Rises. These two new Warhammer Age of Sigmar books are en route to preorder.
Players can play these ghoulish horrors using the Death Battletome: Flesh-Eater Courts. A complete rule set is included in this book, which will allow players to play these ghoulish horrors on the battlefield. The book consists of 27 war scrolls, thematic enhancements, and rules sections.
The book includes Path to Glory rules and a gallery of painted miniatures to provide inspiration for army paint schemes; a limited edition with a soft-touch cover, gold foil blocking, gilt page edges, and a red ribbon bookmark will also be available.
In Dawnbringers, Book IV: The Mad King Rises, you will discover that the Twin-tailed Crusade continues with new rules for Ushoran and Sekhar. It also introduces a new Army of Renown regiment for Nagash’s mortars.
Triumph and Treachery, part of the Cities of Sigmar Path to Glory Battlepack, returns. There is a limited edition version with gold-foiled lettering and gilt page edges, as well as a purple ribbon marker.
The limited edition version of this book with its soft-touch cover, gold-foil lettering, gilt pages, a purple ribbon marker, will be limited to 300 copies. As usual, this will only last for a few minutes in preorder. Buyers will gobble up such quantities, a lesson that Games Workshop is still stubborn to learn.
Last December, the website crashed and customer complaints piled high after over 2,500 copies were sold out in less than one hour. The feat left rons of customers waiting to receive deliveries for days, some even receiving their Christmas gifts too late.
With the planned expansion to more stores, the company may be able to reduce supply woes and increase its customer base. Falling short of that, Warhammer may find itself facing a ferocious backlash.
