Warhammer Skulls 2024 Update
Warhammer Skulls is an annual convention full of announcements and updates for Warhammer’s video games. Since Games Workshop refers to its fantasy and sci-fi settings, there are many games in this category. These include Warhammer Fantasy Battles, Age of Sigmar, and Warhammer 40K.
This year’s Warhammer Skulls event had some fun stories, interesting showcases, and crossovers. It also rolled out some newsworthy announcements. Here are a few that you may find interesting.
The Rogue Trader Expansion Is on its Way
Owlcat Games, the developer of Rogue Trader, has focused on fine-tuning the game since its release. An expanded 15-hour campaign, called Void Shadows, is coming, largely set on the von Valancius warship.
There is also the possibility of:
- meeting Death Cult assassin Kibellah,
- building a void combat hangar,
- uncovering a Xenos conspiracy aboard the ship, and
- creating a new hangar.
Owlcat also revealed that Rogue Trader would be available on Steam Deck, enhancing gameplay and making it more mobile-friendly.
Mechanicus 2 Coming to Consoles and PC
Kasedo Games and Bulwark Studios announced today that Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 will soon be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. As opposed to the first game, which allowed players to only play as the Adeptus Mechanicus tech priests, the sequel allows them to play as Necrons, the ancient machines.
While this sequel was unexpected, it is definitely a pleasant surprise to see. The game has multiple campaigns, centered around waking up a Necron tomb world. The players’ choices will influence the outcome of the war.
Warhammer 40,000:Boltgun Shoots News Expansion
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun game is great fun, and now Auroch Digital has announced the new expansion, Forges of Corruption, which adds new environments, enemies, and weapons.
Boltgun’s new edition includes Forges of Corruption content, or you can purchase the downloadable content separately. Forges of Corruption launches on June 18, with a horde mode update plus several bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
