Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus Launches Machines of War
Snowprint Studios announced last week that players of Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus would be able to summon Machines of Wars for the first time in the 41st millennium. World Eaters fans have been collecting skulls a lot lately thanks to the studio.
It’s time for Azkor the Exalted Eightbound to join Khorne’s ranks in Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus. Azkor, the third World Eater to join the game, will bring a host of tanking powers to your ranks. The studio will roll out its update this month. Here is the trailer with more details.
Tacticus Readies Machines of Wars
The new update, Machine of War, will add several features that will improve immersion and gameplay. According to a post on the company’s website here are the main highlights.
- Players will now be able to deploy a sixth unit onto the battlefield. The machine appears off the hex grid as a stationary weapon.
- Machines have two main abilities, a primary which is always active. The secondary can be either an active or passive ability.
- Machines are usable in the following game modes:
- Arena
- Tournament Arena (Machines will be available in some tournaments but not all tournaments)
- Guild Raids
- Guild War
In addition, Tacticus is a free-to-play Warhammer 40k game that has ratcheted up millions of players since its launch. Here are the current stats:

An online review described Tacticus as the best Warhammer 40K mobile game. It said “Reviewer Jason Moth called it the best of the Warhammer 40,000 mobile games. In a 3-and-a-half-star review, Will Quick for Pocket Gamer praised the game’s visuals, mechanics, and the presentation of the lore. Metro gave the game 6/10 describing the gameplay as repetitive. Tacticus won the 2022 Pocket Gamer Award for Mobile Game of the Year.
The addition of Machines of War will add weapons of mass destruction.
