Warhammer: The Old World
Long before the Great War against Chaos and before they laid Seige of Praag, existed the Old World. Set before the days of Chaos Lord, Asavar Kull, who led his men against the Nations of men and Dwarfs. About two hundred years before the End Times, this is Warhammer: The Old World.
According to Games Workshop, this era of war and endless bloodshed was filled with witchcraft, magic, and fantastical beings. Somehow they refused to live together, just as light and darkness do not gel. So uncontrollable, and driven by an unquenchable desire for power and wealth, guided the Old World into the night.
At the center of this carnage lies the embattled human nation. It struggles to stay relevant as four Elector counts wrestled for the throne. Their greed threatens to divide the nation into new factions. The Human Empire is humanity’s largest and only hope.
However, the clock holds out a while longer as the Human Empire’s longest ally lends its unyielding support. These are the Dwarfen Holds. They were the ones who fashioned most of the human’s weapons. It is their skills and magic that can best salvage the Old World.
In addition, two elf factions are always coaxed to support the human nation. They are magical creatures but possess some of the most agile fighters with the best archers in the Old World.
Contradictory to this amazing beauty and pleasantry of the elves, are the brutish orcs and goblins. These have long been enslaved and used against human nations. yet, they are once again an essential part of the Old World.
Notwithstanding, this time around the main enemy seems to be the Beastmen Brayherds. These creatures are always lurking in the empire’s forbidden forests. They are listed as one of the main threats to the human nation. Although there is still little information on how exactly they will fight humanity, it is a given that they are there.
