Realms of Ruin Adds Two Hero DLCs
Game developer Frontier Development has sparked players’ interest by unveiling the first two hero DLCs for Realms of Ruin. The new DLCs come bundled in the Ultimate edition update of the game.
Frontier Development revealed the first two pieces of DLC coming to Warhammer Realms of Ruin prior to its November 17 release date. These are renowned fighters with horrific war histories.
- The Stormcast Eternals hero Yndrasta, The Celestial Spear,
- Orruk Kruleboyz warlord Gobsprakk, The Mouth of Mork,
The feathered foes will be playable in multiplayer, skirmish, and single-player Conquest mode. In those game modes, Warhammer Realms of Ruin players have some control over their armies, as they can configure which heroes their armies will summon during a battle
Undefeatable Hero
Based on our experience with preview builds, it appears that some heroes are already in the base game. However, it will unlock more as the player progresses through the campaign: ‘Hero DLC’ will unlock more heroes.
Frontier describes Yndrasta as a powerful flying hero from the Stormcast Eternals who can easily jump into and out of combat. She is capable of throwing the spear Thengevar to disrupt enemies and inspire allies alike.
Based on the game previews, one should expect an AOE capable of knocking enemies down and granting allies immunity to fear effects. The extent may even be a temporary damage shield.
Orruk Kruleboyz has only one flying hero: Gobbsprakk. He debuts in Realms of Ruin as an incredibly mobile late-game assault hero. He is best known for rallying support for Orruk cohorts and unleashing destructive power.
This is quite similar to the Lord of Change, which carries an atomic weapon, dealing the most powerful attack in the Disciples of Tzeentch army.
The ‘Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin – Ultimate Edition’ pack will include both Yndrasta and Gobsprakk, each of whom will go for $4.99 / £3.99 individually or $8.99 / £6.99 when purchased together.
