Thrones of Decay DLC May Break or Make Total War
Despite the jaded sentiment of some Total War: Warhammer fans, this game has long ago earned its place as an all-time classic in strategy game history. So, even if Creative Assembly were to shelf the game tomorrow, there would still be people talking about it for years to come. Somehow it has managed to capture and own tons of hearts that won’t easily let it go.
As of now, the most recent sales numbers for the series sit somewhere around 40 million, and it rarely slips outside Steam’s top 100. With the help of Vermintide, it even convinced Games Workshop that bringing back a beloved setting might actually be worth a few bucks.
In light of the recent volatile rumors about the game and studio, it seems that if the upcoming Thrones of Decay DLC fails, it could result in a mass exodus of fans. Moving forward, the Horsham studio’s odd little experiment has already proved itself.
There are no differences between Warhammer 3 and Warhammer 1 as any full game or DLC purchased since Warhammer 1 is still relevant. Any player who might have logged over 1700 hours in total will freak out if oyu them that they have gotten their money’s worth is impressively delusional.
Nevertheless, we whine because we care and want the best for our disgusting little rats, and things have gotten much grimmer and darker in the past few months. The period since Warhammer 3’s launch, along with Shadows of Change DLC’s release has largely been the opposite of positive
Total War: Warhammer and Creative Assembly‘s history has been the most tumultuous in a long time. A less cool version of Grimdark? Shitbleak, I guess. This has all been a bit dreary. So as the new upgrade version gets ready for release, let;s hope that deception does not rear its ugly head.
