Games Workshop Launches FAQ for Warhammer:The Old World
With the release of Warhammer: The Old World, Games Workshop has issued a series of FAQs and Errata for the game, along with army updates.
Games Workshop has updated it with some small tweaks and clarifications, but nothing major. You can read all the FAQs HERE. Following that, we’ll find out what the designers are saying.
‘’Armed with your questions, we’ve updated the initial Old World FAQ document (which included a combination of questions the designers and playtesters anticipated would come up) and added two more; one for Ravening Hordes and one for Forces of Fantasy. Both of these incorporate the relevant Arcane Journals. In all of these we’ve addressed the questions asked most often and, where appropriate, added commentary in order to add clarity.”

”We’ve also taken the opportunity to make a few adjustments in the form of errata. For example, we’ve amended some of the universal special rules, making it more clear how they interact with units and characters.
Finally, we’ve updated the Legacy army lists, strictly in order to correct some errors that had crept in when we wrote them. If you’re using one of those, please make sure you have the most up-to-date version downloaded.”
As these are still fairly fresh updates, in general, these are fairly quick updates. If you’re playing Old World, you’ll definitely want to read your armies FAQ, and if you have some extra time, you might also want to check out the others.
They also noted that they didn’t change any major aspects of the core rules/gameplay or army lists. They felt the game is still in its “new” state, with players figuring out rules, strategies, and their own armies.
Despite the fact that this is actually 10 years in the making, players can appreciate them not wanting to rock the boat too much. For now, it seems Games Workshop is satisfied with the overall state of Warhammer Fantasy and will count on this success.
