Wargamer Reveals 3 Non-negotiable Demands for Space Marine 2
It is usually laughter for each read on the gaming blog Wargamer. Today I came across another of its great pieces demanding non-negotiable inclusions of a PvP mode in the Space Marine 2. The author made no reservations about his demands, so Games Workshop better listen up.
For starters, here is the humble introduction to the article. This scores high for breaking deadlocks. ”Games Workshop and developer Saber Interactive have kept studiously silent about whether we’ll get a Space Marine 2 PVP multiplayer mode when the game launches in September – but I have faith that the Emperor will provide.
”We still don’t have confirmation Space Marine 2 will have PVP multiplayer – but if it does, these are my non-negotiable demands.”
Nice move. First, let’s move the Emperor on our side. They have been silently building up the next Warhammer faction – War Gamer. So this is a subtle threat. Get it GW. A war machine is coming.
The Three Great Wargamer Demands of Space Marine 2
Next in line and rolling out, are three demands that may fall in line with most players. The post also listed them in a specific ranking order. “Here are a few features I’d personally love to see in Space Marine 2’s competitive multiplayer, listed from ‘likely’ to ‘almost certainly not’.’
- Customizable Playstyle and Strategies: “Allowing PVP players to pick the light, medium, and heavy armor sets, with their attendant pros and cons, makes a lot of sense – and offers a ready-made structure to balance out the weapon options,.”
- Helldivers 2 style Stratagem abilities: “I don’t think it’s completely wild to imagine a similar system in Space Marine 2, allowing you to select specific stratagems for your loadout pre-game, and call them in at opportune moments.”
- Playable hero characters, Star Wars Battlefront style: ”But there’s no denying the 40k setting is jam-packed with fantastic elite characters, above the power level of a regular Space Marine, that it’d be ace to play as in a multiplayer brawl.”
That said, I think most players would like to see some of these in Space Marine 2. If you would like to read the full article on Wargamer go ahead.
