Warhammer First Book Returns to Print in Limited Edition
The very first Warhammer book that brought the franchise to existence will be reprinted in a limited edition series. The book Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, will go on presale and will be available starting on Warhammer Day.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will be reprinted by Games Workshop as a print-on-demand book within a 10-day period.
There will be a pre-order starting next Saturday, October 14 through October 23. Fans can get their hands on this collector’s item. A copy of the original Warhammer 40K rulebook usually sells for about $100 (or 130 dollars) in the US.
Originally released as Warhammer Fantasy in 1983, Games Workshop followed up four years later with Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader to celebrate Warhammer’s 40th anniversary.
In the original book, Rick Priestley detailed the foundational lore of the far future, focusing mostly on the Imperium of Man and its fraught relationship with various alien races. Later books covered the Orks and Chaos forces.
Games Workshop’s website will begin selling the book next week. The Warhammer Day committee will make more huge announcements very soon.
A large part of Warhammer 40K’s popularity comes from the game itself, with a constant stream of new miniatures to build and paint as well as a variety of game modes (and different games) to try.
Warhammer 40K has been steadily growing, with a new edition of its core game attracting new players and generating interest among fans. The core ruleset and unit stats are now freely available online, making the game more accessible to more people
