New Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Teaser
Over the weekend, Games Workshop released a mysterious teaser for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. The video, titled “Sigmar lied,” features a storm looming over a city while a distant bell rings.
In the video, a blast of lightning heralds the arrival of a Stormcast Eternal, an immortal warrior of Sigmar who travels through lightning blasts. The bell is a reference to the Screaming Bell, an item of religious significance to the Skaven.
There is a tease relating to a new edition of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. Warhammer: Age of Sigmar goes through a rules update every three years. Games Workshop has released new editions of its games that refine existing rulesets, other editions that overhaul entire sections.
As part of its strategic plan, Games Workshop has strived to diversify the types of play within its signature games, with Warhammer 40K now featuring both multi-game narrative campaigns and tighter rulesets. Age of Sigmar will have a new game mode with smaller armies.
According to rumors, Skaven miniatures will be updated for the new edition of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. New editions are commonly ushered in with a refresh of an army, with two rival armies featured in the Starter Box.
